Aizah Turns One

There’s something so special about first birthdays. The tiny toes, the cheeky grins, and that “I just discovered icing” face — it’s pure magic!

Little Aizah just turned one, and I had the absolute privilege of capturing this milestone for her and her lovely parents, Zara and Ash. They turned their living room into the dreamiest little celebration space, complete with soft pastels, balloons, and the sweetest photo garland of Aizah’s first year. It felt so personal, cosy, and filled with love — the perfect setting for a cake smash!

At first, Aizah was a little shy and unsure about the camera (completely understandable when there’s a stranger pointing a big lens at you!). She was happiest when her parents were close by — giving us those beautiful, gentle smiles that melted everyone’s hearts. We started off with some clean-outfit photos in her little chair, followed by lovely family moments with mum and dad. The cake only made its grand entrance at the very end — because, let’s be honest, once the frosting comes out, there’s no going back!

What I love most about sessions like this is how they reflect real family joy — the laughter, the love, and the beautiful chaos that comes with little ones. Zara and Ash were beaming the entire time, and you could just tell how proud they were of their sweet girl.

This session was all about celebrating life’s little moments — the kind that feel ordinary in the moment but end up meaning everything later. 💕
